They are usually made from 925 sterling silver, stainless steel or brass and then plated with an alloy.
Of course, all jewelry is nickel-free and does not cause allergies.
925 Sterling Silver
Pieces of jewelry made of 925 sterling silver are then gold-plated, rose gold-plated or protected by rhodium plating.
These pieces of jewelry are suitable for everyday wear.
The gold plating of 925 sterling silver is a finish that lasts very well but does not last a lifetime. We therefore recommend removing the jewelry when it comes into contact with water in order to preserve the finish for as long as possible.
Stainless steel – stainless steel
Jewelery made of stainless steel is then gold-plated, rose gold-plated or protected by rhodium plating.
You can wear these pieces of jewelry 24/7 without any concerns and the finish remains intact even when in contact with water.
Brass
We hardly have any products made of brass, but there are a few. Brass can oxidize over time and develop a patina or change color. This can happen, for example, if you sweat very heavily or come into direct contact with cosmetic products.
We therefore recommend removing the jewelry when it comes into contact with water.

We cannot guarantee that the alloy of your jewelry will last forever. Gold-plated jewelry - whether based on 925 sterling silver, stainless steel or brass - always changes color slightly over its lifetime, but this process can be slowed down significantly with good care.
Care tips
We generally recommend removing the jewelry when exercising, sunbathing or taking long bubble baths. Cleaning products, personal care or cosmetic products damage the surface of your piece of jewelry over time. The pH value of the skin can also play an important role.
We recommend not storing your jewelry in the bathroom. The increased humidity in the room causes your jewelry to age faster. We recommend storing your treasures, regardless of the material, in a dry and dark place - ideally in one of our jewelry boxes .
It is best to clean all jewelry with clean water and a clean cloth. Pieces of jewelry made of 925 sterling silver should also be cared for from time to time with a good silver cleaning cloth.
